The client who had been in occupation of almost 30 years in a 1970's lateral conversion of an 1890's Belgravia townhouse. The clients' requirements had changed with the children having grown and left the nest. The client wished to adapt the aprtment to have more emphasis on public space and to accommodate larger more comfortable bedrooms. As part of the works the apartment was completely refurbished and re-serviced. During construction asbestos was discovered and this had to be removed.
