Information
Tucked in behind Harrods in this busy part of London, this new build house on the site of an old listed church hall proved an exciting challenge. Planning restrictions on the height of the front elevation along with the wedge shaped site (3m at its narrowest) meant that the best use of the site was to build the house around a courtyard with a large basement below, housing a pool, Sauna, Cimema and Staff accommodation. Designed with the client's traditional taste in mind, the project evolved through a classical detailing with modern functionality. Externally an huge roof terrace, a mix of the Parisian style courtyard and large French windows make this house a tranquil retreat in the Heart of London.
